Hello,

I have an android tablet connected with my Wi-Fi router. This Wi-Fi router is connected with another router, with which my PC is connected. IP address of the tablet is 192.168.178.13. The IP of the PC is 192.168.0.100. The PC can succesfully ping the tablet, but the network program that I use (Total Commander on both machines, and I've tried ES file Explorer too), can't seem to find the other machine. It does work when I connect the pc on the same router as the tablet. Any suggestions?

Why not simply connect both to the same router or make the 192.168.178 router an access point to the other which probably connects to the Net?

Thank you for your answer Saga Lout.
Unfortunately I have left out one part: Cable comes in at 'modem + (WiFi) router in 1'. This WiFi router is used by my tablet. After that router comes the non Wi-Fi router, with priorities, port forwarding etc all setup for 6 different pc's, including mine. It is 10x more advanced and has 4 servers etc installed that i can't install on my modem+router in one.

And I have learnt about connecting 2 different subnets by now, but the primitive modem+router can't 'set' the required settings. (the other one ofc can)

I was suggesting that as your last post came through :D  so I'm now officially out of ideas.
