Overclocked or not, GTX 780 Ti Lightning is the winner.

780ti is still faster at 2k, 4k is a toss up depending on the game with 290x overall doing a little better.

If you're planning to stay on a single 2560x1440 or lower res monitor, go for the 780Ti. If you plan on getting multiple cards and going very high-res (3+monitors, 4k, etc), the 290x might be the better choice.
