Looking into picking up a new monitor for my gaming pc and was wondering if I could get some advice from you guys. I know I want a 27" but not sure whether to get the 60hz or 144hz. I'd be willing to spend the extra if it's worth it but I'm not really big into fps games, more just casual I'd say. I mostly just play single player, rpg's and mmo's. Anyone that could weigh in and help me out would be greatly appreciated! If there is a different monitor that you would recommend too I'm all ears. My budget is $400.

Well the VG one is meant for gaming. The VS are budget models. The choice is really about if you want to save $100 or not. One thing I didn't know until recently is that the VS278q is not an IPS monitor.

TN panels are older technology so it's cheaper in price, while IPS is newer and can be viewed better at different angles with better colours. You'll like the VG278HE no matter what game you are playing. :)
