The old model CHALLENGER does not have the front USB3.0, and the new model CHALLENGER-U3 does have.

Here is USB 2.0 vs. USB 3.0. http://www.diffen.com/difference/USB_2.0_vs_USB_3.0

If you had the old model CHALLENGER and you want the usb3.0 then you can get this add on card like http://images17.newegg.com/is/image/newegg/15-166-026-T...$S300W$

If you don't buy the case yet, then get the CHALLENGER-U3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... or other case has the usb3.0 front port.

I read that way wrong on my first response, so I'm changing it accordingly.

USB 2.0 is technically slower than USB 3.0, but is not noticeable most of the time.

You will still be able to use all of the USB ports available to you as long as your motherboard has the USB 2.0 headers for it.

To utilize the better speeds of USB 3.0, you should buy a card reader that goes in one of your available 5.25 inch expansion bays. The card reader must have USB 3.0 ports on the front which you connect to your mobo's 3.0 headers and the card reader itself will connect to a 2.0 header. One of these card readers costs 30 bucks, but it's not necessarily worth it unless you don't have 3.0 ports on the back of your mobo, especially since USB 3.0 technology is rarely used (for now). Here is the link for a card reader with 3.0 ports if you are so inclined: http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-Aperture-Internal-5-25-Inch-... Hope i helped :D
