I have PC with the following specs:

Motherboard: ASUS M4A89GTD Pro/USB2.
RAM: Corsair 4GB 1333Mhz
750 Corsair PSU
Corsair H50 liquid cooling
Ati Radeon HD5870 GPU

Problem Description:
I have a working PC system since 4 years ago. Today when I want to start up my PC, the DRAM LED light flashed once. Then there is no display appears at the BIOS setup until the login page of Windows 8 appears. The resolution became 640 X 480 and I cant change it. The display at screen resolution setting is showing : "Generic Non-PnP Monitor". I have updated my ati 5870 drivers to the latest one. I can see the driver in the device manager.

So if anyone could help me with this problem please. I spent hours finding the solution in here and I've already tried to reset the CMOS, use my friend's working RAM.

Then i tried using my friend's GPU, NVidia GTX 660. My PC can boot up normally at first, then I installed the latest GPU driver, after that I can see the BIOS display during boot up but after the windows login appear, the display suddenly gone and no signal detected.

update:

So summary of what happened:

1) I used my own graphic card (ATI 5870): there is no display appears at the BIOS setup until the login page of Windows 8 appears. The resolution became 640 X 480 and I cant

change it. The display at screen resolution setting is showing : "Generic Non-PnP Monitor"

2) Tried using HDMI, DVI, and VGA port on on board video card, did not work at all.

3) used my friend's GPU (NVidia GTX 660), using hdmi port, my PC can boot up normally at first, then I installed the latest GPU driver, after that I can see the BIOS display

during boot up but after the windows login appear, the display suddenly gone and no signal detected.

4) used my friends's GOU (Nvidia GeForce 210), Firstly I used HDMI port. It worked at first. Then I installed the driver, same thing happened as NVIdia GTX 660 as before.

Then I switched to VGA port, its worked! My windows boot up normally.
