Everything works fine 5-10 min. after i start it up...but after some time my network icon in the system tray shows an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle (hazard symbol) and my computer looses its internet connection (but network's still there)...there are many other computers on the same network but the problem is unique to my computer. I enable and disable my network adapter and the internet starts working for another couple of minutes...then one day i discovered that when i start playing gta san andreas for some time, the internet comes back. It happens like when the yellow thing appears on the network icon and the net stops working, i start gta sa, play for 5min. then minimize it. The connection is back for some time..( i had gta sa minimized as i opened the site and typed typed this....). I've tried rolling back my ethernet driver (since windows showed it was already up to date) and changing it too. i also changed my DNS server to Google DNS...and i also have avg 2014 along with malwarebytes....no idea about my network card..

Win 7 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E440 2.0 GHz
2.5 GB DDR@2 memory
160 GB HDD
Intel GMA 950
yeah it's about 6yrs old... :p

I dont really know the length of the cable, but i can tell you that the router is placed on the ground floor and my computer is here on the 3rd floor.....
And i think it's phone-line sort of internet because when there's any problem with the phone-line, the internet too goes off.....(In this case the phone's working well and the other computers on the same network can access internet without any issues...)

OK - have you checked your ethernet cable carefully from one end to the other?

Is the phone line plugged in properly to the router?
Is the router plugged in properly to the power?

Have you have any power outage problems?
Do you use an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)?

From what I have read, it seems more like a software issue. Try rebooting in Safe Mode with Networking and see if everything is working fine. Then, you can be sure its a software/driver conflict.
