I installed an OS on an SSD a few days ago and I noticed a sharp rise in power use just a few minutes after boot, most of time it will stay at max and so my PC will get hotter for no apparent reason. It seems to be only when I'm on the SSD, it doesn't happen on my HDD. What could it be?
Update: I noticed it's happening approximately 8 minutes after being idle, then it will just max out and stay at 95W until I move the mouse cursor.
