Hey everyone,

I am tossing up between these two motherboards. I have a few questions about them. First off how many hard disk drives/solid state drives can both of these motherboards support and how many USB 3.0 slots do both of the motherboards have? Also if I wanted to have two GPU's would both of these motherboards be able to support it?

Which board do you think is better based on personal experience, I have heard the Sabertooth has a longer warranty as well is this true?

Thanks for everyone's advice in advance :)

The Sabertooth has;

Intel® X79 chipset :
2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), brown
4 x SATA 3Gb/s port(s), black
Support Raid 0, 1, 5, 10
Marvell® PCIe 9128 controller :
2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), gray
ASMedia® ASM1061 controller :
1 x Power eSATA 6Gb/s port(s), green
1 x eSATA 6Gb/s port(s), red

So 2 6Gb/s HDD's/SSD's are supported. 2 Marvell 6GB/s available also.

6 x USB 3.0 port(s) (4 at back panel, blue, 2 at mid-board)

The P9X79-LE has;

Intel® X79 chipset :
2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), gray
4 x SATA 3Gb/s port(s), blue
Support Raid 0, 1, 5, 10
ASMedia® ASM1061 controller :
2 x eSATA 6Gb/s port(s), red

So same as sabertooth, except no marvell 6GB/s. So ONLY a max of two 6Gb/s devices can be connected (HDD's/SSD's)

4 x USB 3.0 port(s) (2 at back panel, blue, 2 at mid-board)

As for warranty, They should both be the same.

Both can support multi GPU's, as a whole the Sabertooth is the better one. If you see my sig, I would prefer that motherboard (price/performance), I own one.
