Hi, its my first time building a computer and basically I want to build a computer for gaming, I'm not asking for a crazy computer with 8 CPU cores that can get FPS of like 200FPS, I just want to build a computer with a quad core, decent/good graphics card and able to play games at probably around 50-60FPS(ish) minimum.

I have decided which case I want and the operating system, but i am still struggling about picking the components:

I want a Intel 4th gen i5 quad core processor as I think its more value for money than a i7 but I am unsure of which one to get exactly(which processing speed) and if it is a good choice,

For RAM I have picked to use 16GB of Kingston dual 1600MHz, is this a good choice?

And for a graphics card I prefer Nvidia, I've had a look and I saw the Geforce GTX 770 was quite eye catching, but honestly i don't know which graphics card to get that will work well with my CPU, like I know there's no point of getting a really good graphics card if you have an average CPU (or vice versa).

Probably the last thing I want to know is the motherboard and the power supply, I want an ATX board, but again i don't know which one, and also i want to know does it matter much which motherboard I get anyway? Like does it affect the performance that much anyway? and with the power supply how do i know how much power the end system will use and so what power supply do i need?

So if you can help me by suggesting some components or answering some of my questions it would be appreciated and also if you see that im missing some important parts or facts please tell me,

Other notes: i don't want to spend too much money on these components, im hoping to keep it under £850 which is about $1300

If you want to "Go big or Go home" thingy, you could always choose 770, I'd recommend Somewhat like 760/R9-270x and R9-280/R9-280x. Since you're going with Intel its kinda fine to go big with 770, well its pricey in my country at least

MSI R9-280x: $448

MSI 770: $484

Choose your pick, both are MSI which means silent and cool gaming,

Get the i5-4670k, it will last long enough

770 is a bit pricey, but a good choice to get a high-tier gaming

8 gigs of ram is usually enough, if you want to do ramdisk/overkill you can go 16/32 gigs

For Mobo, I think MSI z97 Gaming 3 is great and cheap

Powa supply, just pick whichever suits your tastes, to start, look for 85% effeciency broze powa supply iwth 750w in it

You might/might not want to pick CPU cooler, its fairly important as the stock one is a bit of a trash

Yeah thank you for answering, I like the components you listed, but when you said the 770 graphics card is a bit pricey, would there be a cheaper alternative that will run just as good?
