Try re-installing it's driver from your PC or laptop manufacturer's website.
If still no luck, try a new CAT5e network cable, preferably as short as possible so yards of it aren't coiled up on the floor, but not too short that you have to pull it tight to get the plugs in.

What do you mean everything else will? Ethernet is a wired connection and wireless uses a wireless card which is separate from the ethernet. Need more of a description.
