i5 heat problem

just bought an 4670k hasswell [the newest one] and when i first installed it it would idle at 25 to 35 oc,i then stressed tested it with Prime95 and it went up too 100oc and now idles at 55 to 60 oc.My cooler is a corsaire H60 watert cooler block and i have a coolermaster 690 2 with 6 120mm fans in it.I need peace of mind that i have not damaged it [mobo Gigabyte sniper M5] 8gb of kingston RAM black edition hyper x

Might be the cooler is not seated properly or thermal past not applied properly.

If the above is or, you might want to try lowering the voltage a bit to see if it helps, but that a long shot and can create instability problems with your system.

Hi guys.thanks for your help.it turned out after i re-seated that the 3 pin connector the water block was connected too was not working correctly now running at 32oc [half of before].thanks for making me check it out.[phew]
