Is the rig I'm buying good enough for gaming?

So I'm building a new rig for my aunt who has a 6 year old son who's into gaming. I'm building the following rig in her computer, which I thought was the best for her budget of INR 38000/- (I'm from India).
AMD FX 4300@4.0GHz
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2 Motherboard
Sapphire AMD Radeon R7 260X 2GB Graphics Card
Corsair 8GB DDR3 Value RAM
WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB Internal Hard Drive
Cooler Master Thunder 600W PSU.
My question is: Is this configuration good enough for the games to come until 2015? She has a 1080p monitor and medium settings is fine with the kid.

Solution

No the i3 won't perform as well as the FX.

On another thought, I was wondering whether I could use an alternate setup:
Intel Core i3 4130@3.4GHz
MSI GTX 750ti 2GB GDDR5
An MSI Motherboard for Haswell CPUs.
The rest of the specs will be the same. Will the Dual Core i3 perform as well in games as the FX 4300?
