Hi , I just bought a new mechanical keyboard called Ducky Shine 3 a couple of hours ago . The problem is , when I plugged in the keyboard's usb cable to usb port , the windows cannot found the keyboard's driver software and encountered an error while attempting to install it . What should I do ? My keyboard doesnt working because of that . Please help me . I use my iphone to post this question . Urghh .

The Ducky Shine's dont require any drivers, if its throwing up that error something is wrong with Windows, either with the USB or default keyboard driver.
Might want to make sure the switches on the back are correct for Windows, they might be on Mac settings, but that all I can think of that would cause a problem.

But I had already updated the Windows and including Bios . I'm thinking that all of my usb ports are doing fine . How to setup for Windows instead of Mac settings ?

there is a generic keyboard driver for windows which it uses when you connect up a usb keyboard.

often keyboards dont play nice if you try plug-and-play while windows is on....... restart your pc and typically it will get recognized.

there is no setup.. just plug it in while the pc is off and then start it up.

if that doesnt work you can try a different usb port (try a front one swapping between 2.0/3.0 ports). you could have an issue with your usb controller drivers.

I did restart my pc with the usb plugged in , and now the keyboard is lighting up but I cannot type a single button on it . Wtf ? And the problem remains the same (windows cannot found the keyboard's driver software) . Arghh .

have you tried turning your pc off, swapping do a different usb port and then turning it back on?

more importantly..... did you have a usb keyboard in the past which was working perfectly fine?

if not, are you sure its not a windows usb controller issue? if you've had usb port trouble before then it could be.

i'd open up device manager and see if there are conflicts. if so, try to resolve them.

just read something interesting

Did you already run the latest firware update? There was some bug with certain USB controllers on earlier firmware but it was fixed. Shine 3 DK9008 firmware download link (US ANSI V1.1.6, ISO V3.1.0):

(US ANSI layout):http://goo.gl/9NX7ie

(European ISO layout):http://goo.gl/15dlmR

If you have the latest(bug free firmware) and still experience such problems then pls try on another computer just to write off other possibilities of fault besides the keyboard.

apparently there is a quality control issue with some ducky keyboards and the usb controllers they have.

if a firmware update doesnt get it working and you know its not a windows issue then i would say contact ducky about it (or the place of purchase) and return it. you can then either get a replacement or get a different keyboard.

I dont think I had the usb port trouble . I dont understand , why the problem happened . I just did everything . Updating , replacing usb ports . Arghh . Please help me :(

http://www.duckychannel.com.tw/en/firmware_updater.html <- doesnt work . I've downloaded the Shine 3 DK9008 (US ANSI) V1.1.8 , when I launch it , nothing happened . As my keyboard hasnt been detected , so the firmware updater doesnt work .
