Motherboard Caps Lifespam

Hello Dudes, I have a good question about all motherboard caps but especially the Asrock Z97 OC Formula. It says the 12K Platinum Caps have 12000 Hours Lifespam that means 500 Days could someone explain it ? It can't be only 12000 hours / 500 Days !!! Why ?
