Hi there,

Can you please help solve my dilemma? I want to buy a graphic card and need to choose between R7 260x and GTX 750. The deal is that I have an used HIS R& 260x and a new GTX 750. The difference in money is around 15$ for GTX 750.
I know that R7 260x is slightly stronger than the second one. Still, I would like to buy something which is more compatible with my system. Thus, this are my components:

1. Athlon II X4 840
2. Asus M4A78L-M LE (it is without the PCi-e 3.0)
3. Corsair 4gb DDR3 1333 (667 MHz)
4. PSU 550

Thank you in advance!

with the 260x you're going to need 1 PCI-E power connector for the card. the gtx 750 does not require one. also 2.0 motherboards will work with 3.0 cards. what games do you want to play and at what quality

well, there isnt much of performance difference! i would prefer the 750. new and no supplementary power needed. meaning , it can run even on lower quality and wattage psu! what exactly is yours?

Basically all of them. I care much about good quality of the games. But to name some - AC Black Flag, Rome 2, BTF4, Watch Dogs.

well in that case i would play it safe and go with the 750. even 750ti draws power only from the pcie itself which would also be a better option and i would defenately recommend with such psu.(750/ti are desighed to run even with 350w psu)
