I have started making a desktop from scratch and after some research have finally put together some components which I feel will be able to play games which have very good graphics. My budget was about Rs. 60000/ 1000$ . The components are-

Processor: amd fx 8530 - Rs. 14000
Graphic Card : Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 - Rs. 19000
Motherboard: ASRock 990FX - Rs. 10600
RAM: G-skill DDR3 8GB - Rs. 6200
CPU case: Antec X1 - Rs. 2300
Hard Drive: SeaGate Barracuda 1TB - Rs.3500
Power Supply: 650 watt Seasonic Sll 620W - Rs. 6000
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24D3ST - Rs. 1200

Some components may be cheaper than usual because I am getting them at a discount.
So I would like to know if my desktop is good enough to run most games while the graphics settings are on medium and I would like some other suggestions as to how I could improve my desktop in general.

The 8350 CPU is okay for gaming needs. The 760 will play most games medium or better quite happily. You may be better off downgrading the cpu to an 8320 or 6300 (not many games utilize 8 cores) and spend that extra bit of cash on a better card (gtx 770 or r9 280) To see a nice frame rate increase.
If you care about clean PC Cases then look at the Zalman Z11 Plus with A modular PSU.
