GPU overheating, need a solution

Solution
Well done on inventing the worst possible way of describing your system.

A card should run for a lot longer than 18months. Thermal paste might do the job, i'd suggest it is something specific that is not getting cooled well enough, probably the ram or the VRMs rather than the GPU core itself, i.e. a component without temp monitoring that would therefore not trigger throttling if it was too hot. Getting more air into the case would help, or improving air circulation in the case.

What are the temps?

There are reviews saying that your card does the same thing for other people. You may need to.add another case fan if you can, remove your side panel, and/or under clock during the hot months. May just be a crappy design.
