I have a PC motherboard that got fried. PC was running Windows 2000 Pro. I put the hard drive into another old computer and everything boots fine, windows loads, installs some drivers, but neither mouse nor keyboard work.

The keyboard works in the bios. I've tried both PS/2 and USB keyboard and mice and neither works, but both work on another computer.

Any ideas?

Hi

What happens if you try safe mode with networking it dosed not need or load so many drivers
Try and find the motherboard chipset drivers for the motherboard
Ps/2 keyboard and mouse are more likely to work on an old system than USB

I don't know what the percentage of pc's still using w 2000 is nowadays

Best of luck
