You have the required slot, but how many 12v amps does your power supply generate?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... is this the one we are talking about? if yes then an i5 is more than capable to run any single gpu but the 300W needs replacement asap. i recommend the following. for about 200$ or a bit more you can have gtx660ti or gtx 760. as for the xfx 550w is a solid rock psu more than enough for your setup plus overclocking! also watch dogs require a lot of fire power i would stretch for gtx760 afterall

a 300w psu doesnt provide 6pin pcie power cables so no matter how many Amps has on the 12v rail cannot run any of these gpu

After a second though and after reading this Watch Dogs VGA graphics performance benchmark i would seriously consider getting R9 280 with 3GB which as it appears are actually needed for that title!

Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 280 3GB Double Dissipation Video Card ($199.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $199.99
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

The radeon R9 doesn't come with watch dogs, and I was kinda hoping to get that game. Would the GTX 760 still work well with the power source you advised, and still work with my computer?
