Can I get wireless and wired connection from one router?

This might be a dumb question but can I get a wireless connection and a wired connection using cable from one router? I want to use it so I can use laptop with wireless connection and a desktop in another room with wired connection with cable. I don't want to install a wireless card to my desktop because wireless high ping when playing online games.

No connection on router or no connection to internet? Try entering 192.168.1.1 into your browser, you should get a webpage of your router if not. Then go to your network adapter and make sure its enabled, set it to obtain ip address automatically. Try again...

192.168.1.1 Didn't show anything and network adapter is enabled and ip address is set to obatain automatically and still nothing. Troubleshooting shows that not valid IP configuration. Not sure what is messed up but now I can´t connect to Wifi. Troubleshooting shows that invalid IP configuration. Can you tell me how to fix that?
