Cloning main drive to msata, and making it the boot drive in Thinkpad

I installed a 1TB msata drive in my Thinkpad T530 - I used Norton ghost to clone the existing 500gb drive to the new SSD. I cannot get it to boot from the new SSD, even by changing the bios, or following your instructions with EasyBCD. The new drive is F, and this is Windows 7.

Did the clone include the boot sector? It sounds like you did a clone that left it on the old drive. If you still have the data intact on the HDD, do the clone process over and check that it includes the boot sector. I use EasyUs (free ver) for cloning and I always have to remember to include the boot sector.

I follow this guide: http://www.howtogeek.com/97242/how-to-migrate-windows-7-to-a-solid-state-drive/
Then when up and running I do these tweaks to improve performance of the SSD and to keep it from writing itself to an early death: http://www.computing.net/howtos/show/solid-state-drive-ssd-tweaks-for-windows-7/552.html
