Can't decide which motherboard to buy

What you want is difficult to answer. The B is for business, and that's why you see a lot with pata slots still. This means the board is geared towards a variety of differing setups, and does in no way specialize in one, like z boards are designed towards OC, h for performance non OC. In the end, no matter what we think, the decision will be yours. I prefer Asus over gigabyte for low end, gigabyte over Asus for mid, Asus over gigabyte at the top. The 4 boards you chose are all similar performance wise, but only you can say exactly what best suits your needs and wants, and what you can live with

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/B85MG/ will work under worst circumstances but if you wont overclock all the will work the same so choose the cheapest

Asus B85M-E has the best layout and options of the 4, upgraded support software over the G, better bios than the gigabytes, additional display port. If you are determined to go cheap, might as well get the most for what you aren't paying for.

I understand. However, I have noticed the B85M-G has "5x Protection" and B85M-E does not. I really don't know if it makes difference. What do you think? These questions may seem dumb but that's because I'll be staying with the board for a long time and I must buy the right one. Thank you.
