Hey there,
I've just bought the 'WD 1TB SATA lll Desktop SATA Drive - Blue' hard drive. Now the only thing is, is that I don't know which port to put the sata cable into on the motherboard. I have the Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3 motherboard and not sure of where to place the sata cable. Theres 6 slots 4 SATA3 slots and 2 SATA2 slots which port would I place the sata cable in?

Thank you for your time,
-Tom

Then any. Plug it into the next available SATA. For an HDD, SATA II or SATA...

Depends on what other drives you have in there, and what you will use this one for.

If it is to be the primary boot drive, SATA 1.
Other than that...ay of them.n
