Budget gaming Build- CPU GPU Combo

Have 2 choices-
AMD FX 6300 and AMD R9 290 GPU or
Intel i5 4440 and Nvidia GTX 770 GPU.
Want the most future-proof combo possible. Am going to be doing some MS Office, Visual Basic and Web browsing as well as gaming
What is the best combo and please give justification
Can't decide- need hep

idk much about AMD CPUs however that R9 290 dominates the GTX 770. the i6 4440 is a 4th generation which is basically the top of the line intel cpu excluding the hyper-threating that I7s have but you shouldn't be too worried about that.

Seeing as ow the FX 6300 is roughly the same price as the i5 4440(FX 6300 is about $20 cheaper) I'm gonna assume it's equally or nearly as good, so ultimately I'd suggest going with the AMD FX 6300 and R9 290 choice since it's more futureproof overall

go with the an x97 chipset mb and a intel cpu. the fx line frm amd is dead. amd nt making any more of those cpu amd has switched over to the cheaper apu chips. for the gpu I would not buy one right now both amd and nvidia will be dropping there newer 20mm gpu. the only issue holding up the nvidia maxwells are yeild issues at the foundry.
