Will the new 4790k run on Maximus VII Hero motherboards?

Like the title said, will the new 4790k when it comes out work on the Hero motherboard?
Because I read that they have announced new motherboards (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/msi-z97-gaming-9-ac,news-47964.html)

Will the 4790k also be on socket 1150?

you have to email asus sales support dont know when there list has been updated.

It's a LGA 1150 from what I understand.

Core i7-4790 (3.6Ghz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, HD Graphic, 84W, rev.C0)

Is listed so it should take the K version as well. It takes the 4770K so I don't think it should be an issue but still get a hold of them to be sure.
