I'm looking at getting a 780 for my build and have heard mixed things about the different clocked editions of cards. The 3 in question are the stock at 863MHZ, the superclocked at 967MHZ and the FTW at 980MHZ.

My question is simply, is there anything to be worried about with buying factory overclocked cards? I've heard people tell stories of unreliability when it comes to factory OC cards and they recommend getting a stock speed card and doing the overclocking yourself.

don't know dude I just tend to stay away from the hype.. they say the oc cards are tested and binned to be the ones made well enough to take overclocking over the rest coming down the line[???] I just get the best standard no thrills card with in my budget.. all my programs run just fine and less stress[opinion]

I have a Superclocked EVGA 760 and I don't have any problems. There isn't any problem buying factory overclocked GPUs.
