I have an older system with 3.5 gigs of ram, so I need a 32 bit version. However, in just two months I'm buying a new PC and I want to have the 64 bit version for that.
Is the win8 version I linked capable of installing either 32 or 64 bit OS? It says 'Microsoft Windows 8.1 Full Version 32/64 bit Edition (PC)' so I'm assuming this is the case but want to be sure since it's 100 dollars I might end up regretting.
So, can that specific copy of win8 install either 32 bit or 64 bit?

If you purchase a retail copy of windows 8.1 it will come with 2 disks, one 32 bit, and one 64 bit.
I believe it installs to what your CPU has. If you have only 32 bit architecture that it will just do 32 bit. It will install 64 bit if your PC is 64 bit.
