I want to get the radeon 7770 and found an excellent deal here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=14-202-...

I don't mind that it's recertified, I just have a problem with the fact that its warranty is a measly 90 days while the same product new (though its MSI) has a 3 year warranty. Is this company seriously telling me they won't stand by their product after 90 days? What would happen if it broke...Really what I'm asking is should I even bother buying this?

Its refurbished. Thats all.
Companies dont want to offer the full warranty on a product that may have already failed.

So what would happen if it died on the 91st day? Like I said, I don't mind that its refurbished, that only means it's gotten more testing...

As a general rule of thumb, I don't buy used hardware. You just don't know if the previous owner overclocked the card until it caught on fire. jk However, I still wouldn't buy it.

At day 91, even 1 hour after 90 days exactly (you get the point) and the card failed, you are out of luck. Outside of that 90 days nothing is covered.
