Hey guys I recently bought an FX 8350 for $150 and I see an FX 6300 for $99. I just want a 2nd opinion, would you guys switch it or keep the FX 8350 for 150? Thanks for reading!
For gaming, stay with the 8350. Besides, why downgrade? I've had both processors in the recent past. Here is my Firestrike score with each using a GTX 660: http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/1638199/fs/455565

That newegg deal is good. Remember also that the 8350 is a black edition and can easily be over clocked with little effort. Most people can run it at 4.2 GHz without touching anything tricky like voltage. Congrats!

The FX-6300 will perform a bit worse, but is a much better value. What's your video card? That will largely determine whether returning the FX-8350 would be worth it.

Pretty much all AMD CPUs are 'black editions'. They're only sometimes called that, but almost all of them qualify.

In that case, you should probably stay with the FX-8350. It'll hold good performance for longer than the FX-6300, considering your GPU is quite strong.
