My motherboard right now is a carmel 2 from a prebuilt hp pavillion p7-1187c.
I am trying to upgrade it because gtx 750 doesnt work with it.
How can I install the new motherboard and will I be able to install the fans and cpu from the old motherboard to this one? And please leave suggestions of what motherboards I can get. Thanks!

Solution
Doing a search on Google for "carmel 2 motherboard and gtx 750 video card" shows many have tried but it seems that it is not compatible.

You can get a retail box Micro-ATX 1155 motherboard. There are many to choose from. Newegg is selling about 45 new, plus another 35 refurbished, open box, or out of stock.

You would need a Windows license. You could make an .ISO of Windows 7.

The front panel wires on a HP case need to be removed from their proprietary connector.

This is a H77 chipset motherboard. One of the better models.

You could have all sorts of problems.

Does the hp take any other motherboards? Which? Sometimes you find they have their own proprietary motherboards

Does the HP power supply have connectors that fit other motherboards?

Is there enough room in the case to fit a gtx 750?
