Hey, I'm upgrading my PC by adding an overclocked Sapphire R9 270 to my setup. I currently have a cheap 400 watt Raidmax PSU which I will switch out before adding in the new graphics card. I've used a few different sites and most are recommending 750 watts or higher which just doesn't seem right. My specs are below if it helps:

AMD Athlon II X4 (640) @ 3.0Ghz
2X4GB Ram @ 1066 Ghz
1TB WD Black
2TB WD Green
Sapphire R9 270 OC

If I need to add anything else let me know. Thanks guys!

For a pc with a R9 270 you need a power supply capable of providing at least 450W. Get a good brand, preferably from Tier One - http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...

Much thanks to both of you!

@i7Baby - That list is fantastic, I appreciate it! Would you recommend Corsair? A few 650 watt PSU's are on sale on Amazon/Newegg right now and they have good ratings. What do you think? I'll go for at least an 80 Bronze rated PSU @ 650 Watts.
