At the time of this post I just upgraded my graphics card from a GT 610 to a Radeon R7 260x. When I started up my computer and got everything going, I noticed things were running much slower than normal. Things open slow, close slow, load slow, everything is slower. Games are better but load times are insanely slow now. Help please!

Did you uninstall the previous video card's drivers?

I did not. Could that cause a problem? I also have Nvidia EVGA things and other things that came with it.

Uninstall it. Even if it's not the problem, it's now software that's just taking up space on your computer.

First: Where would I find the Nvidia GT 610 drivers? Second: What should I do if this does nothing? Could this GPU be faulty?

Yea that's pretty accurate. In short just go to control panel and look for any program with the word "NVIDIA" in it and uninstall it.

For me the three programs I see are:

Nvidia GeForce Experience

Nvidia Graphics Driver

Nvidia Virtual Audio

and I uninstalled the PhysX driver before since I don't use it.

Try to update the 260x's drivers to the latest version.

It says the best driver is already installed. The games are still slow yes, but everything else is slow aswell. The whole computer has just slowed down.

How big is your power supply and did you plug in the 6 pin power cable to the card as well. I believe that card requires a 500W minimum. Lack of power could be allowing you to use it, but under clocking the card.

This card is Overclocked and needs 450. I upgraded to a 650 PSU and all this has been happening since. I also just noticed that Aero Peek/Taskbar Tranparency on Windows 7 never stays, it always goes back to windows 7 basic and stays that way. And yes, I did plug in the 6 pin.
