I just recently upgraded my graphics card from a 470 to a 780 and installed windows onto an ssd. I've had absolutely no issues before this upgrade. So yesterday I started playing War Thunder on steam and my computer just randomly shut down. It kept doing this a few times only on War Thunder until it happened again today on Dota 2. My memory is fine and so is my cpu. Nothing is overheating at all. Could this be my PSU? Please help me! Also I should note that after the shut downs I played Max Payne 3 last night for a couple of hours on highest setting with absolutely no problems.

What does event viewer say happened ?

What kind of voltage variations do you see on each rail under load ?

What PSU do you have ?

The event viewer just gives me a Kernel-Power source with EventID 41.

I have a 650w power supply from corsair.

That's the latest info telling you what happened, ya generally wanna go back further and look at what prompted that action

OK i gonna tease ya a lil bit to explain my dilemma :)

So ya call the mechanic and ask him what the timing is on ya car

He asks "what kinda car ya got ?"

"Dodge 4 door sedan" isn't gonna help him :)

It's important to know the specific model number.

HX650 - excellent
TX V2 - series very good
CX - now Im worried

Try running OCCT and note the specific variations on temperature and more importantly voltage (3.3, 5 and 12 volt rail especially). An HX would give ya like 1.0 to 1.5% ..... TX V2 would give ya 2-3% .... I have seen CX exceed 5%.
