Hello, so as you see in the title my PC won't work sometimes, and I'll assume it comes from the graphics card because I tried plugging the VGA port to the motherboard's and it worked without problems. Also, the monitor says "Monitor going to sleep" and sometimes even "No signal". Pretty sure its not the monitor because I tried swapping.

So, sometimes, it works flawlessly, sometimes it only works until the "Starting Windows" screen then shows the "Going to sleep" screen, sometimes it only goes up until the motherboard screen, and sometimes there's nothing at all but that "Monitor going to sleep" and the "No signal".

I know nothing about this so we tried sending it to the technician. He checked in the video card, saw some small heated sections, disassembled and cleaned it, put in the thermal paste and hot aired it. And bam, it worked.

After that, few days it won't work again, displaying the problems I mentioned earlier. So the time I called the technician the time it worked again. And now, the reason I posted this because it won't work again.

Its a GTX 550 Ti, we got it from another computer in the office. And also, the power supply is fairly new. It doesn't show any probable problems as it works as it should be and giving the right amount of voltage.

Guys your help will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh I forgot the make, its ASUS Nvidia GTX 550 Ti and it looks like this http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/ENGTX550_Ti_DCDI1GD5/

And its a Cougar SL 500 Watts. The technician himself said that this power supply is good enough to power the PC, and looks like it so I'm confident on the power supply end.

Turned the PC again this time, reached until the mouse cursor displayed and monitor slept.

I suggest buying a new Graphics Card. As it will not be easy to test the GPU because of its instaballity and intermittency. If I may ask, for what purposes are you using the Graphics Card?

Oh, too bad. I guess its that since we just took it off from one of the PCs in the office. Well, I just use the computer for gaming.

If you could say, can you give me advice about a decent upgrade in graphics card with the affordable budget?

The rest of the specs are:
Asus P8H67-M LE Rev 3.0 Motherboard
Asus NVidia GTX 550 Ti
Intel i5 2500k 3.3ghz
4x2 GB RAM (I forgot to look onto its name)

Any other recommendations for a required upgrade on other parts, or this is just enough?
