I bought a corsair h50 a while back from a friend brand new in the box, i've been using it for 2 months and it's ran great, temperatures are wonderful, i've always noticed that when you first turn on the computer you hear a swish sound of water as it's first starting up. Overall the unit is very quiet, but every now and then, sometimes can hear the swish when running a cpu intensive game or prime 95. Earlier today, tried to stress my cpu as much as I could and I heard a sound almost like a straw for about 10-15 seconds, I was able to record a few seconds. Another noise I heard was almost like a grinding sound or a coffee maker, this I have not figured out if it's coming from the unit or from my harddrive or my fans on my GPU. I'm still trying to narrow that down, overall the unit seems to have a small hum or vibration but it's pretty quiet. Overall it's starting to make me feel paranoid about the unit, is this something of concern or normal? I've heard some users say that this is typical for airbubbles in these units. Any thoughts?

No, they are very consistent, always around 27 C, every now and then randomly goes to 36 and back down to 26-27 but this is likely in error of my LED, same thing happened with my old heatsink, temps are actually really nice, i'm oc'ed to 4.2 ghz and never surpass 55 c on full load using prime 95 for 24 hours, the highest it spiked was 67 but averaged at 55.

As a H50 user, it's a POS. lol, I'm going to pick up a NZXT Kraken X60 soon. I know what you're talking about, It'll scare me when I'm gaming with out head phones. It is in fact an air bubble. As long as your CPU temps arent going up, don't worry about it. I think you should consider getting a different CPU cooler though. I know I am.

I thought it was my HDD scraping the first time I heard it. Then I located the issues was near the CPU.

I got it at a good price from a friend, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't abnormal, doesn't seem to be consistent but it scared the living crap out of me. I just did 700 dollars worth of upgrades so would hate to have the thing leak on me, most users have assured me the chances of these leaking are rare. It seems solid in construction..

Okay dude... If you're comfortable with it. I've had mine a little over 2 years. I mainly need better cooling performance. But I can attest to that feeling. Hahaha! we all put money into our rigs, we want them running right!
