Hey guys i just bought a radeon r7 250x 1gb gddr5 and i really didnt think it through. It says that its pcie 3.0 and has a 6 pin power connector on it. But my pc's slot is pcie2.0 and i dont have a 6 pin connector on my psu. Although it has 2 four pin connectors connecting to the mobo. So how can i connect the gpu to the mobo? Is it compatible?

My specs are:
I3-4130 3.4ghz
4gb 1600mhz gskill aegis ram(1stick)
2 hdds
400w psu
Gigabyte h81m-s2pv mobo
And i installed two case fans additional to the system fan and case fan.

Thanks :)

Didn't it come with 4-pin power adaptors? If not I don't want to start a flame war but my opinion of amd just dropped a bit. You will need some, they are very cheap.

Regarding the pci 2 or 3 - it will work fine, the interface is backwards compatible and will have no major effect on performance either.

If this is too hard to answer then buy a new power supply - minimum 430W, good brand, preferably from Tier One -http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...
