I want to get battlefield 3 but my graphics card is lousy. It's a GT 530, anyone have any suggestions about what graphics card I should get? (My computer was pre-built and it's 3 years old)

Solution

get a 500w psu....it will be the best option
GXT 750Ti, it is fairly cheap and draws little to nothing, this being the choice as pre-built PC's generally have low wattage PSU's and are cheap, this card should will run off a cheap 300W PSU, what PSU is it? It also is a very powerful GPU for the power it consumes.

I would throw my hat in with the people that suggest the 750Ti and then suggest the MSI GAMING version of that, I have 2 and they stay very cool and very quiet ( the Twin Frozr coolers are by far the best around).

if he chooses 750ti then he should buy the one from evga...the reasons is that it is better performing and has a display port

My PSU is only 220w is it possible to run the Gtx 750i also, I checked the gtx 750i and it specs says it is double-slot but the gt 530 is single slot , will the gtx 750i fit?
