I am having a problem with my build at the moment where I can't get decent fps on games. I upgraded from a xfx6670 to a 550ti Evga but the Fps are worse on the better card. The strange thing is when I change affinity on a game, make it use only 4 cores instead of all 6, I gain a reasonable amount of Fps. Is this because there is not enough power to go around to the cpu and gpu? Should I upgrade my Psu?
Here are my specs:
CPU - AMD FX-6200
RAM - 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1023MB (EVGA)
SSD - 111GB KINGSTON SH103S3120G ATA Device
Storage drive - 931GB HITACHI HUA721010KLA330
PSU - VS450 Corsair
