Can Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H Overclock well?

I plan to use it with an i5 2500K, is it good with overclocking?

The i5 2500K is one of the best chips for overclocking that there has ever been, in terms of being able to take it much much higher than base-clock.

But it is not a recent chip - newer chips will be quicker

But will the motherboard allow it to overclock, because the newer chips have very little improvement in terms of gaming?

shows it as a supported processor, this:

indicates overclocking is part of the design and feature set of that mobo, so you will defeinitely be able to do it with suitable cooling.

As for how easy it will be, I've no idea, but Gigabyte boards are generally very good
