Hi, sorry for my bad English.

I want to buy a laptop and I have few models in sight. I work in 3d applications like Maya, Cinema 4d, Daz Studio, Iclone and After Effects and also like some very casual gaming not high end games and honestly I hate FPS shooters no matter how popular they are becoming. I may just be playing Sims 3, Fifa and F1 games, not like Crysis 3, GTA or battlefield and I'm also buying a PlayStation 3 along.

Now for my work I know i7 with 4 cores and 8 threads are better for 3d work but they are way too expensive but one model caught my eye.

This one is 3rd gen CPU Intel Core i7-3632QM which by intel site has to be 4 cores but HP is showing it's 2 cores. There might be a chance that HP has disabled the Two cores but If someone knows about this laptop can they please tell me. On the other hand the GPU is not that quite good but as long as CPU is indeed 4 cores 8 threads, I'll go for it.

Other one is Dell Inspiron 15 3537 which has core i7 4500u, it is dual core 1.8ghz but Gpu is quite good which is 8850m. Now in gaming I may get some performance but in 3d applications I don't think This CPU is going to help me a lot but in case the above HP model is 2 core i7 then this model is better to buy. Also U series processors are low but they run quite giving better battery life.

I Made this thread so any one who knows about the above HP model is that it's Dual core or Quad core?
