Yeah it is.

The system ram requirements will only go up and down by a gig at best, which is down to how the engine loads the world in, not the actual quality of gfx. You really do need that 6gb minimum.

ive read about people who had monster computers and still had studdering (with high fps) while driving.

the reason ended up being because the game was on a HDD. when they moved the game to a SSD the studdering went away.

just thought i would add that on top of what else is being said here.

You are damn right !
The last thing i read was that SSD's get more 20% that the usual FPS on a HDD.
Well that really a bad news then , as is the game is horribly optimised , absolutely nothing spectacular is brought in terms of graphical performance !
Running everything on Ultra requires a 3GB frame buffer video card , video cards like 780 Ti handle it properly there.
Apart from this , it looks similar to a PS4.
I Dont understand why the F*** Ubi waited to release this game which literally took them 4.5 years on development cycle.
The wait that we had makes it more painful after we see the end product.

I have a 6850 on an i5 2500, and the game ran like poo for me w/ 4GB of RAM. I was able to snatch up 16GB of CAS8 from Amazon for cheap, and the performance improved dramatically. Before, it was very choppy while driving even at 720p with everything set as low as possible. Now, it's almost perfectly smooth at my display's native 1600*900 with settings between medium and high. Alt-tabbing out for an open web browser or whatever and back in happens pretty much instantly, as well.

For kicks and giggles, I setup a 7GB cache w/ PrimoCache and find that it speeds things up even further. After running it for a day, I'm seeing better than 60% hit rate - which means that almost two thirds of the time that data needs to be read from my HD it is instead retrieved nearly instantly from RAM instead. A dramatic performance boost indeed.

I can play with 4gb ram just fine everything on ultra @1080, but I have no vsynch on, and msaax2..i5-4590, r9 280 3gb windforce... I just found out 1 of my RAM sticks is bad and wanted to see if my gpu was still showing artifacts with just good ram in...and it is so I am RMA'ing GPU and ram :(
