I'm just playing around with computer specs to see how much cheaper I can get with better performance than the computers you'd see at Office Depot for $500. After making a lot of specs (I'm not going to buy any), I'm curious if an Intel Pentium G3220 + SSD(32gb)+ (HDD 500gb) would be equivalent to an Intel I3 + HDD 500gb.

No, the presence of an SSD only adds speed to the loading of things. Does not make games run faster or anything else for that matter, just loading em.

An SSD can give the illusion of having a faster computer as read/write speeds are much better, but you'll only really notice the difference if you install the OS to the SSD.

It's just an illusion though.
