So I am new to building PCs. So far this is my build, and im basically wondering if theres anything blatently wrong here or what moves I would have to make to maximize my potential at a reasonable cost ($100-200).

CPU - AMD FX8320 (4ghz overclock w/ multiplier only), running a Hyper 212 EVO on it for cooling
GPU - MSI Radeon R9 290
HD - WD Blue 1TB
PSU - Thermaltake 750w Bronze certified (have heard this crashes alot?)
MB - Asus M5A97 R2.0
RAM - Crucial Ballistix Sports 8gb (2x4gb)
Fans - 4 Cooler Master, 2 NZXT 120mm basic fans

My cable management is a disaster ("rats nest"), so I ordered the NZXT H440 case and will basically have to rebuild the computer in that anyways. I have receipts for all my parts, and can trade them in for full value for another 2 weeks, and upgrade to whatever I please at microcenter. Right now I am thinking the best move would be to go to the AMD FX9370 (4.4ghz) and Asus M5A99x MB, but am concerned I will not be able to cool that on air. I have also heard this PSU is bunk, and am open to any quality PSU recommendations that have good cables.

IDLE temps
CPU - 36 (1.34v)
GPU - 33
MB - 25

Open to advise on how to properly stress test. So far I just boot up games I regularly play (teso/d3) and run my monitor while I do it. Fans are also set on cool and quiet also. I also am not sure on how to monitor how much overall power im pulling?

Hey man, all the intel CPUs are 3.6ghz or so unless I drop serious cash, so im wondering why this is better? This is a thermaltake 750w bronze SP series http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CjkKEQjw75CcBRCz2LiEs5OPsZoBEiQADgUma2z7vOecck5OXj-NsH689k2ygdI11Zhlt9qzUD6nPMLw_wcB&Item=N82E16817153174&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Power+Supplies-_-N82E16817153174&ef_id=U3PztAAABaBBySyi:20140528001831:s

if I change, I would go with the CX750 or AX760. Not sure which one yet. I really want to get my cable management proper in this new h440.
Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

The best move that you could do would be a change to Intel, changing the CPU in this scenario only works for have the "latest" AMD CPU while the performance gain will not be enough for the price of that CPU. Regarding the PSU, I'm using a Thermaltake on my main right for 5 years now and still works perfect, but personally I would prefer go with an XFX 650W or 750W that are excellent.
