Yes, it will work as in it will turn on (hopefully), but don't expect to be going on the internet with this thing.

Firstly, of all the components are outdated. We are many generations on from these sort of components. Also, why would you pair a 680W PSu with this build? This build can easily run on a 300W PSU. The hard drive will hardly get any files on and is generally an unreliable brand to opt for. The CPU will be as slow as a snail with a broken shell, and you will be very lucky to run Minecraft at the lowest of settings with this GPU. I wouldn't suggest doing anything with this PC but throwing it in the trash.

That is almost certainly a pre-built guys. You can't go to Newegg and buy a 'generic HDD' lol

And the Celeron is certainly capable of going on the internet, you're being a little over dramatic there lol It won't be a powerhouse by any stretch, but it will certainly suffice as an internet/email computer on a very tight budget.

And that combination with Optifine will run Minecraft at medium/high at 30 FPS pretty easy, again, you're being alittle overdramatic lol

Hi I am a first time builder and I want to build an entry level pc first so I know how to build my pc which will be about £1000 later this year. Could u see what parts on this pc I could try to improve without stretching the budget too much coz my dad is buying the parts

Well ive already got the gpu, case and mobo and psu, so I would like it to be build around that.
Budget
Cpu £20-£35
Ram £15-30
Hdd £10-25
I would use it for browsing and gaming (probably only minecraft)

in £1000 you could get a gtx 760 or a r9 270x with a core i5 4440 or 4670k with a intel msi z87 gd-65 motherboard or a asus maximus 6(VI) hero and with that you can fit your 680w PSU and go for a seagate barracuda 1tb or 500gb hdd and so what's left.... ah yes ram you could most probably fit an 8 gb RAM, for case you could buy a gigabyte luxo X10 or corsair 200r,300r or gigabyte gz-g1, gz-g2 that's all!
Now that is what i call an up to date rig!

I think you missed the point. He is looking to build a cheap test machine before building his £1000 rig.

It's definitely not a great power supply, but should run that setup just fine. You won't be pulling more than about 175w at full load, so even being a poorer quality it shouldn't be too stressed at all.

There isn't much of a difference, but the Pentiums are slightly better than Celeron, and the Pentium is about the same price lol

i just said a core i5 4670k and you're right gtx 760 is a little low then why not 2 gtx 770 in SLI they would definately out perform the gtx 780 and i think that the 2 gtx 770 would not be much expensive than the gtx 780. right?

Because a pair of 770s in SLIs makes you not able to go any higher. You get 780 Ti performance with a pair of 770s, but with a single 780 now you get the ability to add another and get MUCH more performance than a pair of 770s.

A pair of 770s would be about $650, whereas a 780 would be about $475-$500.
