Confusion about PCIe slots

Actually I am planning to buy a ATI Radeon R7 240 1GB DDR5 CARD. But I have an ASUS P5G41TLMX Mainboard which has PCIe 2.0 while the card asks of 3.0 . I want to know will i be able to run the card and even if I am able to run it will it be low on performance due to the older PCIe version?
Please help me guys and thanks for you guys in advance.

There shouldn't be a performance difference, Tom's has done several tests for this and with a card like the 240 you will not exceed the bandwidth of 2.0.
