I just tried to overclock my cpu to 4.3ghz. It is an fx 6300 and I tried to login to windows after boot then it tried logging in but then restarted by itself, then i tried logging in again. same thing happened. I change the clock to 4.1 and the same thing but it just restarted and there was no bios beep and the screen didnt detect any output. The cpu now makes a noise kind of like a harddrive skip noise but quieter. Does anyone know whats wrong? Do i have to buy a new cpu/motherboard?
EDIT:
i just found out what could be the cause of the problem. My memory! I took it out because the noise was coming from the cpu area and now its out it makes the ram error code. Is it this or is it osmething else i still dont know, Im going to try and buy more ram anyway, although normally it would beep even if the ram was broken idk.

you need to clear the CMos. usually there is a jumper you can move or you can pull the battery on the motherboard. this will reset the bios and allow you back in them.

Be sure that the power cord is unplugged when you do.
