Hello. I have had my computer for about a year now. I have decent specs and my machine should run fast. Sometimes my computer get really slow after using it for a short period of time. Usually always starts out running fast, then slow down later.

I decided to look at my temps inside to see if that is the problem, this is what I see right now.

I have a water cooling system on my computer so this makes no sense. When I inspect my cooling system the part that covers my CPU is VERY hot and when I touch my radiator it is room temp ( I would think the radiator would have some heat to it?).

I am a little slow when it comes to computers so bear with me here.

My specs:

Intel i7-4770 @ 3.4
8GB ram
64-bit
Cooler Master Seidon 120M

Any help would be appreciated.

So the pump/waterblock are hot but the radiator is not? My guess is that the pump on the water cooling system broke down. Hold your ear next the pump (attached on the CPU) while using the PC. Do you hear any buzzing or water flowing?

Is this idle or while stress testing?

Are you overclocked? When was the last time you applied thermal paste? How hot is it in the room your PC resides? Is your case clean, are the fans working? What kind of CPU cooler do you use?

Try RealTemp and see if your temps are still recording as 100C.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I am not overclocked.
I have never applied thermal paste (I bought my computer from Cyber Power PC and they set it up for me)
It is 75F in my room.
Case is clean.
I have 3 fans (power supply, next to hard drives, and on my radiator) they are all clean and running fine right now.
Cooler Master Seidon 120M is the cooler

Here is the reading with realtemp: https://imgbomb.com/i/?FvFRd

Thanks!

Those temps that you posted in your screenshot are very disturbing! Those and your description of the problem lead me to believe that the cooling pump is running very slow or has failed altogether.

I would contact the vendor that sold the cooler to you about an RMA. If it is out of the return period, contact CM about an RMA.

And don't operate the computer with 100*C. core temps!

They are very disturbing. I would think it has to be the pump or it is not being powered properly. The blue LED light on the pump is lit which means it should be working properly tho.
I believe that my specific chip can handle 100*C but anything over is bad and will automatically shut down. I think thats why it is so slow as the chip throttles down at high temps to hot go over 100*C.

I need my computer for work so I might just go buy a new cooling system from the store so I can use it tonight. :/ Thanks again for the insight.

I do not hear any water moving, this might be it. So that would be the pump is either broke. Or could it be under powered somehow?

You can try plugging it into some other slot, but if that won't help then it's probably the pump.
