Why does Black ops 2 gives me lag spikes

ive been watching gameplays on youtube and tons of stuff and i cant find it i bought Black Ops 2 im playing it on a

Intel E5200 overclocked to 2.9GHz
4 GB RAM DDR2 667 MHz DuoChannel
Inno3D GT 430 128-bit Overclocked
my temperatures are 37 on cpu and gpu but the black ops 2 is giving me stable 30 fps and after some time it starts lag spiking and its really annoying even cod ghosts doesnt do that even battlefield 3 can someone help thanks :)

Watch your CPU usage during the lag spikes, specifically if it gets pegged at 99% usage.

its 100% when playing stable and 100% when lag spiking basiclly its 100% everytime

That's probably your problem then. The CPU is bottlenecking the GPU which causes it to not run as fast. In some cases where there is a lot of stuff going on in the game, the CPU won't be able to process all of it.

You could try something like Razer gamebooster, but your CPU is pretty old and is likely causing the problems because it can't keep up. It's a bad sign that the CPU is at 100% even when it's not lag spiking.

oh and that is only in multiplayer in single and zombies its running pretty well :)

Yeah, that confirms that the CPU is the problem. Single player is much less demanding on the CPU.

Like I said.... you can try something like Razer gamebooster for now. Other than that there's nothing you can do.

i cleaned my pc overclocked everything alittle bit more set the game on high in priority set it to low halfscreen and cleared every process avalable so my pc is handling only bo2
