While I was removing my video card from my PCI-E slot, the latch that holds the card in place got stuck and I accidentally pulled the plastic sleeve that houses all the pins off my motherboard (it didn't take a lot of force). I noticed a few pins belonging to my motherboard's PCI-E slot were slightly bent and one pin was completely broken off (bottom right pin). What is my best option at this point? Is it possible to find a replacement pin and let my cousin, who repairs circuit boards for a living, attempt to repair my board? Am I better off not risking my other components and just replacing the damaged motherboard? If I replace my motherboard with the same exact model, will my OEM Windows 7 license still function? Newegg is out of stock of the motherboard, is there a good place to buy older motherboards? Thanks for your advice.

Probably not that easy to repair, as motherboards are extremely complex. Buy a new one, just to be safe. You want stable voltage from that PCI slot.

Hmm... That OEM might be an issue, can you uninstall or un-register it? I hate video cards for how much they cost. That is why I am stuck using my GTX 460. I am going to buy another one for SLI though.

It would work, but if he has an open (windowed) case, it would be quite unsightly, and I do notice a difference in lag using the X8 slot. (especially on ultimate)
