Can my Mother Board handle the SLi GTX 770

Asus PZ68-v Pro I was wanting to upgrade to an SLi setup and was wanting to get a better idea on if my MB can handle it. Any help with this would be grateful.

Yes the motherboard can handle it.

Another important question is, can your power supply handle it?

A good 750W would suffice, but I'd get an 850W just to have the headroom.

The motherboard supports SLI so it should work. Just make sure that your PSU can handle it.

It sure can handle it. Each PCIe slot will operate in x8 mode with SLI setup. Your PSU is the question of being able to handle it. What PSU make/model do you have?

An explanation of your opinion on why you don't recommend would be great because I have run on dual x8 PCIe 2.0 SLI 660's until my last 770 upgrade. No problems here.

Yeah I just double checked and thought I had 750 but i guess not, any suggestions for a quality PSU that is not outrageous

Some people run 770 SLI with 750W, it's doable, but as I said earlier I'd go 850W for the headroom. I'd recommend:

Something to think about: If you sell your 770 you could use that money, plus the $100 you saved from not having to buy a new PSU plus the price of the second 770 and get yourself a beefier single card.

Here is a good 750W semi-modular, gold certified. This will be fine if you don't do heavy OC and don't have alot of extra power requirements.
